The participant is committed to:

Organising a week of activities, taking into account the focal theme.
Actions relative to the theme:
A.D.I. ZMO in collaboration with ADI Transregio, SC OTL SA, Oradea City Hall and Pro Bikers Association organizes during 16.09.2013-22.09.2013 "European Mobility Week".
         The purpose of this event is to encourage European local authorities to introduce and promote sustainable transport measures and to invite people to use alternative means of transport thus improving the environment and quality of life in European cities.
         Under the banner of the European Mobility Week 2013 will mark the motto "Clean Air - It's your turn." This is a good opportunity that cities can benefit from a high degree of mobility, better air quality, reduced carbon emissions, less noise and a healthier urban environment.
Implementing one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
Pedestrianisation
  • Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
  • Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
Public transport services
  • Improvement and extension of the public transport services (express services, increase frequency etc)
  • Use of ecological vehicles for public transport fleets
  • Development of new technologies to improve public transport
  • The development of accessible transport services for all
Traffic calming and access control scheme
  • Speed reduction programmes in zones near schools
  • New traffic regulations: traffic circulation and parking
