Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.

Tall del carrer Enric Prat de la Riba amb la Rambla Just Oliveras.
Es faran tallers, i altres activitats adreçades a infants, joves i acompanyants. “Puja al bus”, “speakcorner”….

Ho organitza: Ajuntament de L’Hospitalet i PTP – Associació per a la Promoció del Transport Públic.

Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
  • Improvement of bicycle facilities (parking, locks etc)
Pedestrianisation
  • Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
  • Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
  • Extension or creation of new greenways
Public transport services
  • Use of ecological vehicles for public transport fleets
  • Development of new technologies to improve public transport
  • The development of accessible transport services for all
Traffic calming and access control scheme
  • Speed reduction programmes in zones near schools
