Detailed description (English): LIM presents attractive activities for the children and their families with the LIM CITY CHALLENGE FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, an educative and fun event about sustainable mobilities in smart cities.
A bit like the "12 tasks of Asterix", LIM offers the LIM CITY CHALLENGE FOR CHILDREN: a unifying event for all ages centered around 12 challenges related to mobility, city, connectivity and environment. For the youngest ones, various activities are proposed, such as BIO LOGIKA or CAMILLA THE CATERPILLAR.
Encouraging the development of sustainable mobility is transmitting to children from an early age, the desire to move intelligently in cities while being healthy, and that’s the reason of the committment of the LIM project in the field of education and awareness about the issues of mobility/energies, and more generally sustainable development.
Creative challenges: imagine the city of the future
The smart city is not a concept that is only discussed in international conferences; it becomes a reality as soon as we are asked to express ourselves and to participate.
In this context, LIM offers children Creativity Challenges: around drawing, oral and written expression, architectural/mobility/energy design, and knowledge development…
With these challenges, the objective is to enhance the ability of the youngsters to be creative, inventive and innovative for the city.
Artistic challenges: acrobatics and rhythmic gymnastics
Circus and acrobatics have a special place in the minds of young and old people, thus, LIM offers a Challenge for beginner acrobats, who must try to master the juggling balls, the pedalgo…
Then, to promote physical and artistic expression of children, LIM offers a rhythmic and athletic gymnastics Challenge.
With these two challenges, children must concentrate to learn how to execute simple figures or gymnastic positions and a scenic implementation.
Sporting challenges around mobility: on foot, by bicycle, scooter, roller skate or skateboarding
Children can test and surpass themselves on a secure loop, since these challenges work continuously and accumulated.
With sporting challenges, LIM pursues the objective of showing to children perseverance, commitment, durability, while helping them strengthen their mastering of mobility and security.
A professional, economic and linguistic challenge
As we all evolve in cosmopolitan and open minded countries and cities, LIM offers children to be immersed during this challenge in an international universe known to all.
For this, a role-play is proposed: the children are transformed into great starred chefs and have to shop for a family of four, to feed them during one day.
The budding starred chefs must choose a place for shopping, a transport mode, manage a budget and do their shopping from giant cards that are then classified into various pouches.
The chefs work in an international linguistic universe because they do not know the nationality of the family they will meet…
To help them shopping, they have at their disposal seven translations: Monegasque, French, Italian, English, Spanish, German and Russian....
A challenge and a digital organization of the event
A smart city is in fact connected.
Therefore, the entire LIM CITY CHALLENGE FOR CHILDREN is managed digitally by the LIM Team. Each child receives a personalized digital monitoring on all challenges, which then allows designating the winners and rewarding them with medals and cups, so they become "their city great champions".
Furthermore, LIM proposes the LIM DIGITAL CHALLENGE FOR CHILDREN. This is a challenge to be achieved with the support of all parents: children have to look at a giant poster and then answer a Quiz available on their parents’ Smart Phone via a link communicated to them on site.
With this activity, LIM wishes to underline the importance of teaching the use of the Internet and Telecommunications to children, and the need of support and explanation from parents (for control, safety, use, durability, costs…).
To help children monitor their evolution in challenges, each one of them has a postcard, where he/she may write his/her progress, and see what remains to be done (knowing that, in one way or another, the idea being that everyone is having fun).
Fun and educational activities for the youngest
LIM offers the youngest some activities under their own parents’ control. They can play Bio Logika (Mobility/Bicycle); develop their motor function with Camilla the Caterpillar, or play bowling with Maya the Bee.
As you can see, the LIM CITY CHALLENGE FOR CHILDREN is designed for children to create smart cities at international, unifying people from different origins and languages around the same issues and activities, develop their artistic side, enhance their athletic potential, learn digitalization, business realities, economy and environment, and above all, the idea is that they have fun, because it’s when we love that we learn.
Regarding the organization and times, it depends on the project we build with our partners.
Regarding location, the LIM CITY CHALLENGE FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES generally takes place in an attractive, touristic or heritage place in the city, in order to show the children and their families, that even anciant cities can welcome the latest innovation in the field of mobility and the youth (the idea is do developp the attractivity of the city).
The LIM CITY CHALLENGE FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES can be organized in any cities, no matter the country, because we compose a local/international team for the animations of children.
