Detailed description (English): On the 19th September, from 9am to 11am, all students from the Centro Montessori Lecce will go for a walk through the streets of our neighborhood, reflecting on the meaning of sustainable mobility and on the advantages that active forms of mobility have for our health and our environment.
The goal of this initiative is not only to make children aware of environmental sustainability but also to promote movement as a tool and means of expressing their orientation in the environment, their intelligent actions, their social behaviour and their feelings.
Detailed description (original language): Il giorno 19 settembre, dalle ore 9.00 alle ore 11.00, tutte le classi del Centro Montessori Lecce passeggeranno per le vie del nostro quartiere riflettendo sul significato di mobilità sostenibile e sui vantaggi che forme di mobilità attive hanno per la nostra salute e il nostro ambiente.
Obbiettivo dell'iniziativa è, non solo sensibilizzare i più piccoli alla sostenibilità ambientale, ma promuovere il movimento come strumento e mezzo di espressione del suo orientamento nell'ambiente, dei suoi atti intelligenti, dei suoi comportamenti sociali e dei suoi sentimenti.
Target group(s): Children aged 6 to 11.
Objectives: The goal of this initiative is not only to make children aware of environmental sustainability but also to promote movement as a tool and means of expressing their orientation in the environment, their intelligent actions, their social behaviour and their feelings.
Expected Outcomes: 72 children and 11 teachers will take part on the "Free to Walk" project. The event will be photographed and the images will be posted on the school's website and Facebook. We hope that everyone involved will be able to commit to a better quality of life in the city.
