Detailed description (English): Mobility Café: Biciculture Friday
On September 20, 2019, as part of the European Mobility Week, the Parish Council of Olivais hosted the event “Biciculture Friday", at the House of Culture, where parish executive member Cátia Rosas launched the 3rd edition of the "Cycling for Work Guide", highlighting the importance of partnering with civil society and law enforcement to promote smooth and safe mobility. There was then a debate on “Safety Walking and Cycling”, which was attended by António Carvalho (MUBi - Mobility Association), Commissioner Almeida (Lisbon Municipal Police), Hugo Tente (FCT / UNL Faculty), Mário Alves (Estrada Livre Association), Pedro Homem de Gouveia (Lisbon City Council), Telma Peixoto (PSP Police), Ana Coroado (ANSR), moderated by Patrícia Melo (Biciculture). The well attended session showed the qualitative leap of smooth mobility in the city and parish, as well as the importance of the joint and articulated effort of various entities and actors to overcome some constraints still felt in the cities.
The Portuguese Environment Agency (Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente) collaborated with this initiative, providing materials from the campaign “For a country with good air”, exposed at the session, and also MUBi gave offers to participants to encourage the use of the bicycle.
At nightfall, participants took an evening bike or scooter tour with the support of BIRD. After all, the parish is also cyclable at night.

No dia 20 de setembro de 2019, no âmbito da Semana Europeia da Mobilidade, a Junta de Freguesia de Olivais acolheu o evento “Sexta da Bicicultura”, na Casa da Cultura, onde a vogal Cátia Rosas da JFO fez o lançamento da 3ª edição do Guia Pedalar para o Trabalho, evidenciando a importância da parceria com a sociedade civil e autoridades policiais para a promoção da mobilidade suave em segurança. Procedeu-se de seguida a um debate sobre “Caminhar e Pedalar em Segurança”, que contou com a participação de António Carvalho (MUBi), Comissário Almeida (Polícia Municipal de Lisboa), Hugo Tente (FCT/UNL), Mário Alves (Estrada Viva), Pedro Homem de Gouveia (Câmara Municipal de Lisboa), Telma Peixoto (PSP), ANSR, com moderação de Patrícia Melo (Bicicultura). Da sessão bastante participada, foi evidenciado o salto qualitativo da mobilidade suave na cidade e freguesia, bem como da importância do esforço conjunto e articulado de várias entidades e intervenientes, para ultrapassar alguns constrangimentos ainda sentidos nas cidades.
A Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente colaborou com a Sexta da Bicicultura, cedendo materiais da campanha “Por um país com bom ar”, expostos na sessão, e também A MUBi cedeu ofertas para participantes, para incentivar a utilização da bicicleta.
Ao cair da noite, participantes fizeram um passeio nocturno de bicicleta ou trotinete, com o apoio da BIRD. Afinal, a freguesia também é pedalável à noite.
