Detailed description (English): On the first week of school (from the 11th to the 15th of September) the teachers will inform the students about EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK and they will also present the benefits of walking.
Students will be encouraged to make drawings/ slogans for the event that will take place on the 20th of September 2017. During this activity the students of the school, the teachers and the rest of the staff will be encouraged to walk to school instead of using their personal cars or the public transport.
Students/ teachers and all the other participants will take pictures and also will have to record the minutes necessary to arrive to school. All the information will be registered in a special book/ journal.
Target group(s): The main target group of the activity could be considered the students of the school but in fact the impact is on the entire community.
Objectives: We aim to encourage students and their parents to live a healthy life and to offer a good example for the rest of the community.
We also aim to inform and educate our students that the quality of the air we breath depends on each of us.
Expected Outcomes: Number of participants: 300 students and 20 teachers.
The activity will be posted and advertised on the school's website and Facebook page.
Impact: To persuade the students and their parents to walk to school/ work at least once/ twice a week.
