Detailed description (English): As soon as school starts, students will be informed about EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK taking place from 16-22 September 2017. A bike-to-school day will be set in advance for students to cycle to get to and leave school.
This will be a great way to kickstart active travel at school and encourage a healthy school run for all the students.
Target group(s): Students aged 11-14
Objectives: Promote physical activities outdoors while teaching them about the health and environmental benefits of biking.
Raise awareness about the importance of bicycle safety education and safety routes to school.
Provide students with the joy of cycling while focusing their attention on the importance of physical activity and air quality.
Expected Outcomes: Around 50 participants involved.
An article about the school's MOBILITY ACTION will be displayed on the school website.
An article about this MOBILITY ACTION will be likewise published in our local magazine.
Bike-to-school day will have a huge effect on young people's confidence and independence.
