Detailed description (English): We intend to know and preserve better the city we live in. Therefore, we will go to school on foot and pay attention to the environment, material aspects and human aspects. During a whole week, a number of 15-30 school students and teachers will take pictures of whatever they consider interesting and worth sharing. Even if they need to take a bus or tram to school, or even if parents drive their children to school, they can all cover s part of the distance on foot.
It is not only a way to slow down the rhythm of our lives, in a world of speed, but also to make Bucharest better known. By doing so, we will definitely reflect on what surrounds us, what has changed and what needs to be changed. It is not an ambitious project, it is just a glimpse of what we fail to see on our everyday route to school and to start appreciating what we still have. By bonding with the environment we might begin to think of ways to preserve what we have and identify means of transport that are environmentally friendly....and use them!

Target group(s): Students and anybody interested
Objectives: Our project intends to:
Make students aware of the environment they live in
Make students aware of the beauty of life surrounding them
Stimulate students to keep the environment clean and safe
Identify problems that need to be addressed
Become aware of changes around us
Use environmentally friendly ways to travel to and from school
Expected Outcomes: At the end of this project we hope to realise how pleasant it is to walk and be attentive at the world around us. Students will walk to school more than before and even if they need to use means of transport, they might get off sooner and walk part of the distance.
