Detailed description (English): For a second consecutive year Road Safety Institute 'Panos Mylonas' Mobile Unit will be at Trikala in order to implement road safety educational programs for 3rd grade secondary school students. The program is consisted of a two hour presentation - conversation with students followed by a practice with the Mobile Unit's simulators.
The simulators equipment will be also open for the general public.
The Mobile Unit (Mobile NEST) was developed through the innovative 'AVENUE for traffic safety' project and includes roll-over simulator car, belt sledge seat, reaction test, collision weight scale, alco-goggles.
Target group(s): Young people, young drivers, vulnerable road users, citizens, parents.
Objectives: Awareness raising on road safety issues among youth.
Expected Outcomes: Awareness raising, changing behaviours on youth.
We expect hundreds of students and citizens from the whole city of Trikala.
Enhanced visibility and extended media coverage.
Promotional activities and social media coverage are expected to maximise engagement and reach of the campaign.
