Participation 2012

The participant is committed to:

Organising a week of activities, taking into account the focal theme.
Actions relative to the theme:
- u sklopu ETM, HRVATSKOG OLIMPIJSKOG DANA i mreže gradova, petak će biti Dan bez automobila te će se stoga zatvoriti uži centar grada Đurđevca od 10,00 do 14,00 sati,
- od 10,00 na prostoru zelene površine uz šetnicu kraj Poslovnog centra održati će se sportska natjecanja vrtićke djece u nekoliko disciplina primjerena uzrastu.
- Učenici od 1. do 4. razreda osnovne škole s početkom u 11,00 sati, također na zelenoj površinu uz Poslovni centar održati će natjecanja u: sprintu na 20 metara, trčanju u vrećama i potezanju konopa.
- učenici osnovne škole će od 11,45 h održati natjecanje u trčanju za dječake i djevojčice od 5. do 8. razreda oko glavnog gradskog parka.
- Proslavi Europskog tjedna kretanja pridružiti će se i učenici srednjih škola, tako da će učenici Strukovne škole i Gimnazije trčati ulične utrke na relaciji ulica: Stjepana Radića, oko parka na Trgu sv. Jurja i dijelom ulice Antuna Radića,a ti dijelovi će biti zatvoreni za promet.
Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Od 10,00 -14,00 sati biti će zatvorene za automobilski promet slijedeće ulice: Trg sv. Jurja, dio ulice Stjepana Radića ( do raskršća s Ulicom kralja Tomislava ), dio ulice Antuna Radića ( do spoja sa Ulicom Grgura Karlovčana ). U to vrijeme održavati će se takmičenje djece u uličnom trčanju.

Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
Pedestrianisation
  • Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
  • Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
  • Extension or creation of new greenways
Public transport services
  • Use of ecological vehicles for public transport fleets
Traffic calming and access control scheme
  • Speed reduction programmes in zones near schools
  • New traffic regulations: traffic circulation and parking
Accessibilities
  • Create the tactile pavements
  • Create wheelchair ramps
  • Removal of architectonic barriers
  • Launch of accessibility plans
  • Create useful tool for people with reduced mobility
Mobility management
  • Elaboration of educational materials
  • Development of travel plans / mobility plans in consultation with local stakeholders
