Pljevlja (Municipality of Pljevlja) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2019, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
The opening ceremony - kick off event, includes presentation of the activity within the week, introduction of donors, organizers, partners. Publishing of the Video contest for young (15-30) for the best story regarding the theme "Walk with us". The award ceremony will be arranged during Car free day.
During the opening ceremony the parking for the bicycles will be installed in the center of the town.
17 September
Panel discussion "Measures of urban mobility" - Participants experts in the field of mobility measures, representatives of local public authorities, utility companies, civil society organisations and others. The aim of the Panel is to recommend the way that local public authorities can make for sustainable Urban mobility action plan.

Campaign on social networks, promoting the Contest and the web site www.pljevlja.me

Workshops for school kids "Walking and cycling - fanny, healthy and secure!- two workshops for school kids from the urban and rural school regarding the good things about the walking and cycling, the workshops include the distribution of promotional materials regarding to the topic.
20 September
Permanent measures day! The activities within Permanent measures day includes marking the pedestrian crossing in the front of the kindergarten Public preschool "Eko bajka" and installation of vertical signaling near the elementary school in the suburbs .
22 September
Car free day! - Promotion of the newly constructed pedestrian zone in the Kralja Petra I street and closing for traffic the main street. During the day the Kralja Petra I street will be opened for pedestrians and cyclists. For the purpose of promotion the installation of the the selfie spot and the urban outdoor furniture for pedestrians. The visitors will be able to make funny photos during the day.
During the car free day several events will be organised: Public talk "Walk with us" where the medical specialist will give lecture to the public regarding the healthy side of walking and cycling.
The schools first aid teams will demonstrate the exercise "Helping injured pedestrians in a traffic accident".

Car-free day Car-free day

Pljevlja (Municipality of Pljevlja) carries out a Car-Free Day 2019 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Kralja Petra I street (situated in the centre of the town) will be closed during the day for traffic and will be opened for pedestrians, cyclists.
