Cardiff organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2006, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Commuter challenge between Hybrid/biofuelled car, cyclist, bus user and train user. challenge will finish at Cardiff Bay adjacent to the Milennium Centre where a temporary road closure will be in force.
Local schools will compete to produce a poster advertising EMW which will be used as the basis for Bus back adverts.
Local employers will participate in a bike to work scheme on Car Free Day

Cardiff carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Bute Place / The Flourish will be closed to all motor vehicles from 08.00 to 18.00 on the 22nd of September
