Zábřeh organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2006, taking into account the annual theme.

This year in Zábřeh the European Mobility Week was started in Saturday 16 September at the fair called Zábřežský jarmark, where an information booth was located giving information on the European Mobility Week and European Car Free Day, including promotion of bicycles and an exhibition of the names of bike paths in the city to which the citizens could state their opinions. Further, an exhibition of EMW-related pictures by local preschoolers was opened this day in the local Cultural Centre. The exhibition was installed until Friday 22 September.
The results of the traffic count in the city which took place on 26 – 27 June 2006 were also displayed. These will be used as base material for the entire concept of transport in the city.

Zábřeh carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

On this day Postřelmovská street, which is one of the main access roads to the city, was closed off.
