ECFD - The main day of the campaign took place on Friday 22 September, when part of Smetanova street from the Jednota department store to the VZP was closed to traffic. On the closed section of the street, all citizens could try out what a nice place to spend one’s time a street without cars can be. On the street they could sit in a reading room or in an outside café, buy some fresh baker’s goods or spend the time playing board games, all accompanied by music. Morning until noon was more for children, which could play games on the street and eat their snacks. At noon the representatives of Vsetín ate in the pleasant environment with greenery.
The event also included a questionnaire on how citizens feel in such an area and if they would like to see a permanent place as this in the future.
