Car-free day Car-free day

Ostrava carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
On Friday 22 September, European Car Free Day took place in Ostrava for the third time. The city fully closed Orebitská Street in Ostrava – Přívoz close to the children’s traffic playground and areas around Gebauerova elementary school.
