Kroměříž (Kromeriz) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2006, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Kroměříž started to organize the activities associated with the EMW and ECFD in 2000 and this year, the town participated for the fifth time.
European Mobility Week started with a bike ride on the Saturday. Before starting, a short programme was held on the Velké Square in Kroměříž – skill rides, registration of bikes by the Municipal Police and the possibility of minor repairs to bikes. On Sunday 17 September, both adults and children had a walk around the town associated with an excursion to the water treatment plant. On Monday, Josef Kozák from Hostkovice in the Olomouc area narrated his journey around the world by bike in 494 days.
For Thursday, the social department of the town authority prepared in a building with barrier free access, an exhibition of auxiliary aids for the handicapped. On Friday 22 September, the Municipal Police rewarded disciplined bike riders.

Kroměříž (Kromeriz) carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
