Targu Frumos organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2006, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
The City Hall of Iasi, in partnership with Environmental Protection Agency and Civical Atitude Association EuroDEMOS will organize the following activities:

- Public Information Campaign on "Climate Change" theme (16-22 September)
- Contest of logo on "Climate Change" theme, with participation of 50 teenagers from 8 secondary schools (16-22 September)
- Monitoring Campaign of exhaust gases (18 September)

Car-free day Car-free day

Targu Frumos carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The zone restricted to the private cars is a central one, representing the istorical center of the town, delimited by three principal streets: Anastasie Panu Street, Independentei Boulevard and Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Boulevard.
