Oxford carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
A section of Broad Street will be closed to motor traffic from 8am until 4pm where organisations will set up stalls to promote alternatives to car transport.
