Nottingham East Midlands Airport organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2006, taking into account the annual theme.

We would like to take part in European Mobility Week at the Airport to show our employees that there are a number of ways to travel to work. As part of the climate change theme, there will be a number of sponsored activities taking place to raise money for the National Forest's Tree Planting Scheme.

Car-free day Car-free day

Nottingham East Midlands Airport carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Staff car park on Friday 22 September will be out of bounds to car users. The car park will be set up with inflatables and giant games instead!
