Paisley, Renfrewshire organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2007, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
This is the first year that Renfrewshire Council have participated in European Mobility Week.
We are promoting various events both for the general public, Renfrewshire businesses and council employees with a particular emphasis on cycling and walking. We are working in partnership with a local cycle club, local cycle shops, Education and Leisure, Road Safety and police community cycling officers to promote the benefits of cycling and walking and to encourage increased participation.
Competitions are being held with loads of great prizes being awarded with a sports/activity based theme.

Car-free day Car-free day

Paisley, Renfrewshire carries out a Car-Free Day 2007 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The cycling event being held on Saturday 15 September is in County Square, which is a pedestrianised area in the centre of Paisley, the largest town in Renfrewshire.
