Closure of a city centre street on Friday 21st September.
Various street entertainment with a sustainable transport theme.
Marquees with information about alternative forms of travel.
Static display of the forthcoming new city centre Metro bus.
Local Road Safety Team marquee with goody bags containing road safety information.
Local Authority Transportion Group information stand including local car share initiative.
Local cycle company stands.

Car-free day Car-free day

Swansea carries out a Car-Free Day 2007 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Total closure to motor traffic of a 300 metre main link road (Wind Street) through the city centre for siting of the ITWMC activities with a safe crossing link to the castle square containing further displays and activities.
