Province of Treviso organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2007, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
The Province of Treviso is participating for the first time at the EMW and the whole initiative planned for its territory is called "Let’s make the right move. Provincial days for the environment. European week for mobility. 15 - 23 settember 2007".
"Let's make the right "is a weekly initiative aiming at meeting the focal theme "Streets for people". For that the Province of Treviso has planned several activities in particular for incentiveting the use of bicicles in the city centers and araising the pedestrian and cycling areas in the city centres.
The Province of Treviso has been worked strictly with the 95 Municipalities of its territory in the field of environment and mobility. Therefore on the 12 July 2007 the Province of Treviso explained them that important opportunity, offering an operative framework of activities and proposal, assistance and coordination, in order to create a shared and busy programme for the citizens and to guarantee a spread organisation of the "In Town Without My Car!" event.

"Let’s make the right move" is sort of "slogan" whose frame is the "International draughts": each square represent one of the theme developed through the programme: mobility, territory, technologies, education, tourism, environment, energy, health and culture.

In that board game citizens are the players: during the EMW citizens can choose to participate at one or more of the events programmed.
The whole communication material - leaflets, brochures, newsletter, television advertsign - reproduce the "International draughts" imagine: a squared colored"board game". That metafora has been thought as a permanent communication tool.

Car-free day Car-free day

Province of Treviso carries out a Car-Free Day 2007 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
