Car-free day
Piatra Neamt carries out a Car-Free Day 2008 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The area selected for this event – Stefan cel Mare Scuare-is situated in the center of the city. The square is cross by one of the most important and highly circulated roads of the city. Near to Stefan cel Mare Scuare lies the Youth Park. By closing it the park unites with the square the newly formed public space giving the opportunity for pedestrians to enjoy by foot a large area of the city.
