London Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames carries out a Car-Free Day 2008 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Langley Drive in Surbiton is a popular cut through route for cars and vans travelling between the main route of the Ewell Road that serves the A3 and also the Hook Road that serves Chessington.

The precise chosen location on Langley Road is between Penners Gardens and Oakenshaw Close opposite St.Matthew's Primary School. We will be closing a 75metre stretch of this road.
