Car-free day Car-free day

Aiud carries out a Car-Free Day 2008 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The area restricted to the private cars crosses through the middle of town and it is very circulated by cars, except for large tonnage machines. In this area there is no lines of public transporter, so that citizens will be able to walk without being exposed to risks on their health and safety.
