London Borough of Bromley organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2008, taking into account the annual theme.

*School Assemblies during the week in support of School Travel plans about walking to school
*School Assemblies during the week in support of cycling schemes and safe cycling
*Theatre group with presentations around the theme of Mobility Week
*Staff awareness day at Civic Centre about sustainable travel and how they travel to and from work
*Future Bromley website launched to become a forum for Sustainable Transport and Environmental issues/events in the borough

Car-free day Car-free day

London Borough of Bromley carries out a Car-Free Day 2008 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Cotmandene Crescent in Orpington: large parade of around 30 shops with residential flats above. There are good public transport links to the area. It is a road in frequent use particularly for access to the shops.
