Car-free day Car-free day

London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham carries out a Car-Free Day 2008 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Sussex Place outside Hammersmith Apollo closed to motors in Hammersmith Town Centre for a lunch break picnic area on 17th September

Commonwealth Ave and Canada Way closed to motors for a street party for two local schools - Pope John and Canberra Primaries - in the White City Estate on 22nd September
