Taipei organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2008, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
There are three activities relative to the theme:
1.Public Transport Week: from 17 September to 24 September
2.Cycling Day: on 21 September
3.Car Free Zone:on 22 September, Xinyi District

Car-free day Car-free day

Taipei carries out a Car-Free Day 2008 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The Xinyi district will be restricted to the private car from am 7.00 to pm 17.00 on 22 September and the bus route pass by the restricted area will be free on that day.
