Aiud organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2009, taking into account the annual theme.

Thursday, 17.09.2009 - The European Commission has initiated a program named "Plant a tree with one click". Our institution has entered into the program through which we receive 50 shrubs. Thus, the action will take place Thursday "Green Curtain" involving planting of shrubs in each center of the city education budget Aiud, namely: National College "Titu Maiorescu" Aiud, National College "Bethlem Gabor" Aiud, Technical College Aiud, "Alexandru Borza" Ciumbrud College, General School "Axente Sever", General School "Ovidiu Hulea".
Monday, 21.09.2009, 12:00 headquarters at our institution in room Ion I.C. Bratianu as part of Municipal Days of Intelligent Energy, a symposium will take place on "Smart action. Urban mobility. Sustainable Development". As I mentioned last year, our city is one of the 6 cities in country that implements MODEL project. Car-free day Car-free day

Aiud carries out a Car-Free Day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Thursday, 17.09.2009, between 8-14 hours will prohibit motor vehicles on the artery which crosses the city through its center. Same street as last year, as has already become a tradition.
Also on another main road artery, who also recently been rehabilitated, it will prohibit the movement of any means of transport, the street will serve as an arena for sports games which invite citizens to urban mobility without car
