Porsgrunn organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2009, taking into account the annual theme.

- Free bus during the "In Town Without My Car"
- exebicion _ Shows how mutch space the car takes compered to bus, cycling and walking
- Demonstrations og wintercycling at the university and hospital, for students and workers
- Walking and cycling competion between all scools i Porsgrunn and Skien
- cycling cours for children
- setting aside area for activities in the mainstreet

Porsgrunn carries out a Car-Free Day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
