Bratislava organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2009, taking into account the annual theme.

Bratislava implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

Car-free day Car-free day

Bratislava carries out a Car-Free Day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Viedenska road - road joining/isolating city park - Janka Kráľa with/from the Danube Embankement will be restricted to the privat car
*press conferrence here: participants including journalists will arrive on bicycles
*everyone, who comes by any other way of transportation than car will be entered to the prize draw (lottery); prizes: tickets to hockey matches, O2 credits, monthly public transport pass, bank account (VUB), baloon flight
*traffic playground for children
*concert of pop singers and bands
