Car-free day Car-free day

Seoul carries out a Car-Free Day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
On September 22 (Tues) from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m., two of the busiest areas in Seoul will be closed to private vehicles.
On these streets 2 out of 4 main lanes will be used by buses, 1 lane used by bicycles and the remaning lane will be open to pedestrians.
