Activities within the week Activities within the week

Sheffield organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2009, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
The Clearer Futures conference will once again take place (Thurs 17 Sep), engaging with local and national organisations about improving air quality.

The Go Free Festival (Sat 19 Sep) is an event in Weston Park with fair-like activities that should bring in a large crowd who can then be targeted with travel information and engaged about improving their climate.

Give it a Go campaign (beginning 21/22 Sep) is a direct mailing campaign with an environmental twist where we ask people to consider their travel options, in particular giving car drivers a free week of public transport.

Permanent measures Permanent measures

Sheffield implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
