Landeshauptstadt München (Munich) carries out a Car-Free Day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Für das Streetlife-Festival wird Münchens prachtvoller Boulevard, die Ludwig- und Leopoldstraße, in eine autofreie Flaniermeile verwandelt. Der sonst stark befahrene Bereich zwischen Schellingstraße und Münchner Freiheit ist dann für ein ganzes Wochenende vom Verkehr befreit.
