Car-free day Car-free day

Würzburg carries out a Car-Free Day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Am Dienstag, 22. September 2009, wird die Augustinerstraße von 8.00 - 18.00 Uhr für den Autoverkehr gesperrt. Durch diese Sperrung soll die Fußgängerzone erweitert werden und nur für Straßenbahn, Radfahrer und Fußgänger zur Verfügung stehen. Ein buntes Programm und Informationsstände rund um die Themen Mobilität, Gesundheit und Klimaschutz laden ein zum verweilen und genießen.
