Hafnarfjörður organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2010, taking into account the annual theme.

The town website will carry information to educate and increase awareness on sustainable travel.
Inhabitants will be encouraged to increase use of public transport
The mayor will lead a group cycling tour to increase awareness, members of the town council will also participate
A special event in a public place where cars that run on alternative fuel, i.e. electrical, methane, hydrogen, electrical bikes, will be showcased and introduced to the public as a eco friendly alternative
