Car-free day Car-free day

Gyöngyös carries out a Car-Free Day 2010 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The zone restricted to the private cars is a section of Kossuth Street, one of the most congested streets of Gyöngyös. From 2. a.m. to 6 a.m. the section between the "Pampuk" corner and Könyves Kálmán Square will be restricted to all motorvehicles. This is the road-part in front of Mátra Museum, where will be going to take place the prgrammes and activities of that day.
