Porsgrunn organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2010, taking into account the annual theme.

Actions relative to the theme: "Travel smarter, Live better"
During the EMW Porsgrunn and Skien will co-oordinated our activities, and show the conection between movement and health.We will use humour in our campain. We will focus on bicycle, walking, fruit and vegetables.

- bicycle competion between achivements in Porsgrunn and Skien
- bicycle tour combine with walking in the woods/mountain
-competion between primary schools in Porsgrunn and Skien (walk and bicycle to school)

Car-free day Car-free day

Porsgrunn carries out a Car-Free Day 2010 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
- Parking spaces in town senter
- the main street in the town senter
