Car-free day
Beja carries out a Car-Free Day 2011 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
A zona restrita ao tráfego automóvel é a Praça da República. Os acessos são restritos através de 4 "portas" onde será distribuida documentação sobre a iniciativa. A área de restrição automóvel é uma importante zona comercial e de serviços com 68 mil m2.
