Activities within the week

Tallaght organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2011, taking into account the annual theme.

- Electronic and Print media promotion of EMW
- Organise county-wide cycling events to promote modal shift to the bike
- Conduct a staff mobility survey
- Conduct county-wide mobility quizes and give away public transport tickets
- Distribute EMW themed fliers in all public places included buses and trams
- Build bike sheds at selected schools

Permanent measures

Tallaght implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

Car-free day

Tallaght carries out a Car-Free Day 2011 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
