This year’s events will be focused on alternative means of transportation and especially the use of the available public transport (means and routes) and the use of bicycles. Larnaka Municipality will be presenting the new traffic regulations that aim to reduce the vehicle load on the local road network. In addition to that, continuing last year’s work, a large number of bicycle stations and bicycle parking posts will be placed all over Larnaka in the central business district, outside hotels and supermarkets, etc. At the moment a regional seminar within the framework of the European project PIMMS Transfer is being organized so that local authorities will be introduced to Europe’s best practices regarding sustainable mobility and so that a dialogue between the responsible parties will begin to lead to the best possible handling and administration of the mobility issues in town.
