Margecany implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

Car-free day Car-free day

Margecany carries out a Car-Free Day 2011 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
- uzavretie časti Školskej ulice vyhradenej pre aktivity Základnej školy s
materskou školou, ale aj pre širšiu verejnosť /hry, súťaže inline, súťaže
na prenosnom dopravnom ihrisku zamerané na ústrednú tému projektu/
- zavretie cesty v časti obce Margecany - Rolová Huta na zorganizovanie
Margecianskej inline hodinovky, ktorá bude mať nesúťažný, sprievodný a
propagačný charakter ETM
