Smedjebacken organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2011, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Exhibition of green cars/eco cars at the main square
Electric bicycles and regular bikes will also be displayed.

Opportunity to test a Eco-driving simulator for the public and the employees of the municipality

Giving out flyers with travel tips such as avoid taking the car on short distances etc

Encourage Bus Passengers with carrots and reflexes

Plan and implement travel policy for employees in the municipality

Reach out to the biggest company in the municipality and encourage them to take part in the mobility week

Using environmental coordinators at the municipal workplace to encourage all employees to discuss their own journeys to and from work and how they can become more environmentally friendly. Encourage carpooling.
