Die Gemeinden Bascharage und Küntzig haben sich am 1.1.2012 zur Gemeinde Käerjeng fusionniert. Am 16.09.2012 ist ein Fusionsfest in Küntzig organisiert. Die Aktivität besteht darin den Bürgern aus allen Ortschaften die Möglichkeit zu geben gemeinsam mit dem Fahrrad zum Fusionsfest zu fahren. Ausserdem sind Busse organisiert.
