Car-free day Car-free day

Vila Nova de Gaia carries out a Car-Free Day 2012 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

A Avenida da Liberdade – S. Félix da Marinha área integrada na Orla Marítima caracteriza-se por uma forte componente de lazer, com elevado índice de procura no período de fim de semana para a realização de atividade física ao ar livre (caminhadas, passeios de bicicleta entre outros). Assim, a escolha deste local tem por objetivo sensibilizar a população para a necessidade de alargar a escolha de transportes alternativos para o seu quotidiano.
