The participant is committed to:

Organising a week of activities, taking into account the focal theme.
Actions relative to the theme:
16. September: Closure on the Dózsa György street, Hősök squere with National Derby on this area.
17. September: The Day of Public Transport. A Quiz for the lovers of the City and Public Transport.
18. The Day of Mobility Management - Conference on FUTAR transport operation and passanger information project
19. September: The Day of Danube River Navigation
20. September: Move to the right direction! Day - announcement of drawing and photo race winners and toys for secure traffic of children.
21. September: The Day of Walking - discover your City.
22. September: European Car-free Day on Andrássy Avenue with Bikers' Prom, PT Prom, Mobility Prom, GreenTech Exhibition, TeARTrum theatre festival, manu-art fair.
Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
16. September
Dózsa György street: one of the main roads of the City, with 6 trails, a tipical urban 'motoway'. The closed area 1,5 km long.
Hősök Squere: the symbolic centre of the City, with the Arch of Heroes and Kings.

22.September, Andrássy Avenue: one of the historical main road of Budapest, the Treasure of World Heritage, with 6 trails, a tipical urban 'motoway'. The closed area 2,5 km long.
Implementing one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
  • Develop public bicycle hiring and sharing systems
  • Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
Public transport services
  • Improvement and extension of the public transport services (express services, increase frequency etc)
  • Use of ecological vehicles for public transport fleets
  • Development of new technologies to improve public transport
  • Create wheelchair ramps
  • Enlargement of pavements
  • Removal of architectonic barriers
Mobility management
  • Create/establish mobility centers and on-line information services (eg travel planner)
  • Launch of awareness-raising campaigns
