Oeiras organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2012, taking into account the annual theme.
All week
-Event "In town without my car": Marginal without cars, the Closing section of the Marginal between the tower and the Alto da Boa Viagem in Caxias, day 23 of September with the following schedule:
Partnership with CP-Comboios de Portugal to offer free travel to event participants.
-Awareness-raising actions on eco-driving and sustainable mobility in driving schools in the municipality
-Dissemination and exhibition of electric vehicles with single use offer vouchers for test driving, promoted in public places in the county on 16 and 23 September;
-Director of reporting and disclosure of the Car Pool of the municipality system;
-Hours of the tale about the theme of mobility to children in municipal libraries.

Oeiras implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
New forms of vehicle use and ownership

Car-free day
Oeiras carries out a Car-Free Day 2012 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The area restricted to private car will be Marginal on the route between the tower and the Alto da Boa Viagem in caxias.
