Chemnitz organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2012, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Zur Hauptveranstaltung am 21.09. wird das nationale Finale des Schülerwettbewerbs "SolarMobil Deutschland" in Chemnitz ausgetragen. Daran nehmen 150 Finalisten aus dem ganzen Bundesgebiet teil. Im Rahmenprogramm finden u.a. eine Fahrradversteigerung, die Päsentation des "Chemnitzer Modells" im Nahverkehr, des neun Radverkehrskonzepts der Stadt und Beratung zu Pedelecs, Seniorenrädern und Dreirädern statt.
Am 18.09. findet ein Vortrag "Einfach aufladen? Elektroautos und die urbane Mobilität von morgen" zum Thema Mobilitätskonzepte der Zukunft statt. Am 19.09. gibt es einen Vortrag "Hybrid-Technologie bei Eisenbahnfahrzeugen" mit Führung durch den Hauptbahnhof Chemnitz.
