The Municipality has joined the project promoted by EU called "Mobility Week".
The Municipality of Castiglione d/S through the offices of Sustainable Mobility and Public Works is working to finalize the actions of accommodation of cycle route and pedestrian paths, in particular near schools and historical centre.
As a second activity, during the week it will promote a series of press releases about sustainable mobility in order to promote the message of the week.
Thirdly, the Municipality is working to finalize the Sustainable Energy Action Plan, studying several interventions, such as the future installation of points of recharge for electric cars.
At the end of September/ the beginning of October, the Municipality will organize an event in the historic center to promote the actions regarding sustainable mobility and road safety, for example the use of bicycles, pedestrian and cyclist safety and the development of the Pedibus project (a walking bus: a measure that encourages children and their parents to walk to school and increase children’s safety while walking to school). During this event the Plan of Cycle Route and Pedestrian Paths and photos of infrastructure projects will be shown: creation of “30km/h zone”, cycling and crossing accommodation near schools.
