Palermo organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.
All week
We will active an urban planification wich includes the creation of pedonals areas dedicated to pedestrians and cyclists inside of the "II Mandamento" that is located in the historical center of the city.
Car-free day
Palermo carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The local areas wich are subject the restriction to the private car are located inside of the "II Mandamento" of the historical center. We provided to locate special areas dedicated solely for pedestrians, cyclists, with the prevision of a new alternative circolation plan for private cars and pubblict transport outside of the new pedestrian Areas.
